How does GALLIVANT Web Design work?
GALLIVANT Web Design will bring you a custom, mobile-ready website template design without any technical knowledge or time wasted building the site on your own. It's a perfect solution for businesses and individuals who want a great looking website without getting involved with any of the technical stuff.
To start, simply fill out our Online Questionnaire and we'll get in touch with you to discuss your needs. When you're ready to order, simply Sign Up. We’ll start with a layout consultation, show you 5 different layout options for design and give you an estimated delivery date so you know when you can expect to go live.
Once the custom design is ready and the copy is drafted and optimized for search engines, your new site will be ready to go live! Visit our How It Works page for more information.
How long will it take to create my site?
Because we design your custom site to your requirements, how long it takes depends upon your requirements, the complexity of your site and the timeliness of your feedback during the design stage. After we review your requirements, we’ll give you an approximate go-live date.
How do I make changes to my published site?
The great thing about our template website designs is that they are simple to update when needed. Of course, if you prefer not to do updates yourself, you have the option of signing up for our update service or, in the alternative, whenever you need to change something, we’re happy to help for an hourly fee. Just fill out the Contact Us form and push that "Submit" button and we'll contact you to discuss the changes you require. Once we've confirmed what you want, updates will be made promptly.
Why does GALLIVANT Web Design use templates?
Have you ever gone to a website and found outdated information? That's usually because the site was built by using HTML coding, which most people don't know. This leaves the company at the mercy of the designer for all updates and changes. Our websites are quick and easy to manage, giving you the power to decide if you would like to update it yourself or not. If you do choose to update it yourself, with tutorials throughout the internet.
Can I provide copy and images?
Yes, you can. While we can help with the content and have access to a gallery of images to choose from, we will still need your input to get your content just right. To get the site you want, we’ll work with you and offer friendly, helpful insight to determine the type of content you need and which images will fit best with your business.
Can I transfer my website to another provider?
Yes, you can. If for any reason, you would like to move your website, the website code for your site is able to be downloaded as a ZIP archive file with all of your HTML and sent via email so that you can move it to a different web server. However, certain features (i.e., storefront, comments, blogs) will not be downloaded, as they actually sit on the hosting site. In addition, because your site is built on our easy-to-manage platform, by moving your site to another provider you will lose the easy management tools. The transfer to another site will likely require you to hire a tech savvy person.
Do I need any technical knowledge to use this service?
No. The template design that we use to create your website will allow you to make updates easily and quickly. However, if you would rather not have to make the updates, we would be happy to handle updating for you. Of course, additional charges apply.
I already have a domain. Can I use it with this service?
Absolutely. You’re more than welcome to use a domain you’ve already registered. We’ll let you know how to add it to the control panel so we can use it for your new site.
How do I update the site?
You can update it yourself or add design hours to have the updates done by GALLIVANT Web Design. You will pick a day of the week/month that works for you and send the updates on that date (all at once). Updates are usually completed within 48 hours of being submitted.
What if I want a bigger site?
Need more space? No problem. Just choose the package that fits your needs and if you decide you need more pages after we’ve finished creating your website, simply contact us with your new requirements. Of course, additional charges may apply.
Will my website be compatible with smart phones, tablets and other mobile devices?
Yes it will. All of our sites are optimized for mobile devices, including tablets and phones.
How much does it cost?
The pricing depends upon which whether you choose the Commerce Pack, the Pro Pack or the Starter Pack. Your choice will depend upon the type of site your company requires. We prefer that the domain name and email(s) be personally held by you, so we like to have you purchase these directly. We'll walk you through it. The hosting and the design fees are included in our packages. In addition, if you prefer to have us do the updating, the Premium Commerce Pack and Premium Pro Pack include website updates and email newsletters.

Commerce PackThe Commerce Pack is designed for companies with over 25 products
(including digital) to sell that would benefit from inventory management and shipping tools. The Commerce Pack includes the design of 15 pages, and the e-commerce set-up of up to 25 products. Learn more. |
